The Legislative Affairs Committee (LAC) monitors developments in the Alaska State Legislature, recommends action to be taken to the full PWSRCAC board of directors, and, as directed by the board, communicates PWSRCAC positions to lawmakers. The committee’s work is supported by Douglas Mertz, an attorney who serves under contract as the council’s legislative monitor.
