Council’s web wizard logs off

Tracy Leithauser, manager of the council’s award-winning Internet site, resigned in late August to go to work at the Health Sciences Information Service at the University of Alaska Anchorage Consortium Library.

Leithauser, who started with the council in December 2002, was responsible for a major expansion of www.pwsrcac.org, the official web site of the citizens’ council. In 2003, her work won an Award of Excellence from the Alaska Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.

At the university, she will work as assistant to the HSIS medical librarians.

“I am appreciative of the opportunity to have worked with an organization where public information plays such an important role,” Leithauser said. “It’s been exciting and challenging.”
