The Prince William Sound Regional Citizens’ Advisory Council (PWSRCAC) is sponsoring the 5th Land-Based Marine Firefighting Symposium in Valdez, Alaska May 5-7, 2008. Through this program, 50-75 firefighters and responders from Prince William Sound and other Alaska coastal communities are provided hands-on classroom and field training opportunities that are tailored for the challenges faced in Alaska. Through funding provided by PWSRCAC and a grant from the Alaska Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, coupled with various sponsorships for meals, books and in-kind contributions, this unique training opportunity is offered at no cost to the many fire departments that choose to participate.
Sponsors of the 2008 Symposium
Sponsors are listed alphabetically, and will be added as information becomes available. PWSRCAC would like to thank its generous sponsors for helping with room, board, and transportation for firefighters from around the region.
