2003 Marine Firefighting Symposium
This symposium took place October 1-3 and was a success with over 65 participants from rural Alaskan coastal communities. In addition to classroom instruction, the course curriculum included live exercises with hands-on training for fighting vessel fires and walk-through exercises for tank farm and tanker fires. The curriculum was taught by firefighters for firefighters.
