Valdez Marine Terminal C-plan Review

PWSRCAC submitted its initial comments and Requests for Additional Information (RFAIs) on September 13, 2007. The council’s initial comments focused on the revised Scenario 5; prevention and response training; consistency among the Tanker C-plan and VMT C-plan for response tactics and strategies; infrastructure integrity (storage tanks, facility piping, secondary containment); suspending operations during a VMT incident; and updates on the risk assessment, bibliography, and geographical resource database. ADEC concurred with some of PWSRCAC’s concerns and requested additional information on prevention training programs, facility piping, and the revised Scenario 5. PWSRCAC anticipates submitting final comments on the VMT C-plan in January 2008.
