Description: This report is an assessment of the current and planned inspection programs for crude oil transport piping sections located at the Valdez Marine Terminal (VMT). It seeks to verify that all corrosion issues potentially affecting piping integrity are being identified, characterized and resolved in a timely fashion, because a considerable portion of the crude oil transport piping at the VMT has not been subjected to internal inspection to validate piping integrity since construction. The report evaluates Alyeska inspection programs as they pertain to piping at the VMT and how these programs compare to industry standards and practices.
