2023 Annual Drill Monitoring Report

These reports have great value in tracking the history of spill preparedness and response by Alyeska/SERVS and the associated shippers. They are instrumental in identifying operational issues and tracking the lessons learned during these events. These reports have proven to be valuable tools in addressing recurring problems, improving the prevention and response system, assisting contingency plan workgroups, and in planning large unannounced drills.

Notes from the March 6, 2024 SERVS Contracted Vessel Fleet Representative Meeting

Contracted vessels would be an essential part of a response if an oil spill were to occur again in the Prince William Sound region. These vessels (predominantly commercial fishing vessels) are anticipated to do everything from oil recovery to tasks such as crew transport, wildlife hazing, sensitive area protection, and other needs. The vessels are based out of six regional ports: Valdez, Cordova, Whittier, Seward, Homer, and Kodiak.
