Maia Draper-Reich

Outreach Coordinator


Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Maia holds a bachelor’s degree with a double major in biological science and dance from Connecticut College. Work in environmental education, interpretation , and outreach first brought her to Alaska in 2015. Since then, she has worked as a forest ranger in the Chugach National Forest, a park ranger in Kenai Fjords National Park, and most recently as an educator at the Bureau of Land Management Campbell Creek Science Center and a social media specialist/program manager at Let Every Woman Know – Alaska. Maia has additional informal science education experience from time at the Maryland Science Center and the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry.

Outside of work, she is an artist with Momentum Dance Collective and loves spending time outdoors.
