The reports listed below review a critical aspect of the maintenance of the Valdez Marine Terminal: the maintenance of crude oil and ballast water storage tanks. Without good storage tank maintenance and corrosion mitigation, Alyeska would not be able to continue to safely operate the Valdez Marine Terminal without risk of an oil spill.
The Council the expertise of skilled engineers to review Alyeska’s internal inspection reports and provide recommendations to minimize the actual and potential environmental harm that could result from a tank leak.
