Coherent UHF Radar For Ice Detection
The objectives of the field program, which extended over a period of two weeks, were to: evaluate the effectiveness of SFM; perform comparisons between L-band and S-band; evaluate the custom waveguide antenna design; and, investigate the usefulness of the radar as a complement to the existing SeaScan system that has been installed and is now operating on Reef Island.
