In this report, Dr. Robert Campbell presents his analysis of data collected from 2019-2025 from weather buoys sponsored by the Council.
These buoys collect data on sea currents, wind direction and speed, wave direction and height, and other weather-related information. Dr. Campbell periodically analyzes the data to determine trends throughout the year and seasonally. This information will help support environmental monitoring, oil spill contingency and response planning, trajectory modeling, and the safe transportation of oil in Port Valdez.
